• Palliative massage is a gentle, specialized form of massage therapy designed to provide comfort and support to individuals facing chronic illnesses, advanced age, or end-of-life transitions. Unlike traditional massage, which often focuses on deep tissue manipulation or therapeutic goals, palliative massage prioritizes relaxation, relief from discomfort, and emotional well-being. This approach uses soothing, intentional touch to reduce pain, ease tension, improve sleep, and create a sense of calm. Palliative massage is highly adaptable, allowing care to be provided in various settings—such as a client’s home, hospice, or hospital—and can be delivered while the individual remains clothed and in a bed, wheelchair, or recliner. Above all, palliative massage honors the whole person, fostering moments of peace and connection during life’s most vulnerable stages.

  • End of life care should be just as sacred and meaningful as the care given at the beginning of life. Focused on gentle, non-invasive techniques, it helps alleviate pain, reduce anxiety, and promote relaxation during the end-of-life journey. Hospice massage is highly adaptable, meeting the individual right where they are and providing intentional, compassionate touch.
